Mrs. Anna M. Sweigart wife of W H Sweigart dies at home in West Philadelphia aged forty seven years eight months and six days after winter illness. Daughter of the late George Worst she lived in Cedar Lake area since marriage until 1899 moving to Philadelphia. Survived by husband one son Charles of London Grove and one daughter Edna Walton of Avondale. Remains to be transported to Cedar Lane by morning train for 10 o clock service at Ranck church and interment in the church cemetery.
Friday evening last week 2 local Methodists delivered supplies and money to Rev Jos T Herson at the parsonage in Churchtown. The visitors were greeted by the pastor and wife and shared a social supper with New Hollander guests before returning to New Holland around midnight feeling blessed by their generosity.
The Hon. J. B. Livingston, president judge, suffered a stroke Monday afternoon. His condition has remained critical and recovery appears unlikely.
Local notes report many visits among Lancaster County residents, a May wedding in the village, a windstorm causing damage to roofs and a wind pump, a finger injury at a Mrs. Rodgers home, and the death of Miller the candlemaker.
A funeral was held Monday morning from her late home for Revninger, a member of the Re formed congregation at Centre church. Interment followed at Centre. Revs. A. Wickert of Denver and S. Schweltzer of Ephrata officiated.

Forty seven years ago last Saturday Mrs. Davis and her family arrived in Sterling from Pennsylvania. The event marks a drift of early settlers as the Wallace farm landscape changed and only Tarry French remains from that era. Mrs. Davis, widow of Gabriel Davis, a former New Holland merchant, moved to Sterling in 1856 with his commendable family.
The four commanderies of the Knights of Malta in Lancaster united on Thursday to confer the Red Cross degree. Ninety six candidates received the degree, including fifteen from Coatesville, with visitors from several cities in attendance. Maennerchor hall was transformed for the ceremony, and decorations enhanced the event.
S. M. Myers and Company successors to Myers and Rathfon won the contract to furnish uniforms for Conestoga Traction Company employees. The award covers a large number of uniforms, reflecting a substantial order for the firm chosen among many bidders.
Rev Theo Hofmeister will be installed as the new pastor of Trinity Lutheran church in the borough. The ceremony is set for Wednesday evening April 22 at 7 30 with Rev J De Lancaster of the Lancaster conference officiating and assisted by Rev L A Steinbaguser of Allentown, the former pastor.
