Father Hears Baby Boy Is Recovering in Ireland
A cablegram to Lloyd G Hoover reports his three months old son, who was taken from the steamship Henry Gibbons in Belfast after pneumonia developed, is improving. The mother and child plan to leave Ireland toward the month’s end. Hoover resides with his parents Mr and Mrs Amos Hoover on South Custer Avenue while awaiting passage for his wife.

Trinity Church Surpasses World Action Fund Quota
Trinity Lutheran Church in this borough closes its drive for Lutheran World Action Funds far ahead of its two year quota. The National Lutheran Council set a quota of 1276 dollars for Trinity Church. Lutheran World Action is a campaign to raise 10 million for rebuilding destroyed Lutheran churches and preserving mission fields worldwide. The campaign continues through 1946 47.

Survived by wife Edith Mc Carty Hilton and siblings Aldus Elsie Barbara Maurice John. five nieces and one nephew. Funeral from Wilde Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 and interment in Atglen Baptist Cemetery.

New Holland Borough Council Sets Street Regulator Pay
The council approved two actions: charging the borough’s street crew for reconditioning chemical extinguishers and hiring a street regulator at 36 cents an hour for the first three hours, 30 cents for each additional hour.
