Mrs. Eien Brosinas wife of Representative W A Brosius of Dromore township died last Saturday at her Fern Glen home after years of illness due to a complication of diseases. A Dromore township native aged sixty one and a member of the Society of Friends she is survived by her husband a daughter Mary B Long and sister Rachel Smith. Funeral was held Wednesday at 10 30 AM.

Mrs David Miller of Mephanicsburg found her husband seventy in bed after a night’s death. A carpenter by trade and Salem Reformed Church member he had been healthy and at work Thursday evening. Survived by wife and children the funeral is set for Monday at 9 30 at home and 10 at Salem Reformed Church.
The Trinity Lutheran Sunday School of this borough held its meeting on Monday evening and elected officers for the ensuing year. Superintendent R. S. Brubaker. Secretary Miss Anna M. Ranek. Treasurer Geo Be Ranols? G. Smith. Organist Miss Annie B Kohler.

Friday of last week Frank Showalter son of Jacob Showalter of this borough was hauling furniture on two two-horse wagons for J J Kafroth from the Western hotel to Milway. He broke a piece and sprained an ankle during the trip near his destination.

The sixth annual city teachers institute gathered this week in the Lancwater city high school. Lecturers included Dr J O Lyte from Milleraville Prof R Co Schiedt of Franklin and Marshall college Prof C A Albert of Bloomaburg and others. Superintendent Buehrle presided with James C Qable, B W Fisher and Mrs C F Rengier leading rooms and meetings.
Samuel L. Byler of near Bird in Land barely escaped serious injury Saturday morning while driving a two horse wagon in Rossmore. A broken king bolt caused the team to bolt the wagon ran, Byler clung to the reins and was dragged. His face hands were cut and scratched. The horses were recaptured after a short dash. several boxes of butter apdees were thrown out with few broken eggs.
The Westminster Presbytery holds its spring meeting April 7 and 8 at Lenox Church near Intercourse. A new moderator and temporary clerk will be chosen. Reports cover the churches within the presbytery and arrangements to ordain and install BE. FE. Curtis of Princeton Seminary replacing Rev. J. M. Galbreath who resigned.
Rev J M Shelly, pastor of St Mark United Brethren church in Mount Joy Werald, was appointed to the Hamburg Berks county charge of the Methodist Episcopal conference at the recent Columbia session. The move surprised his former congregation in this borough.

In Mount Joy borough a group of five elders includes Polly Lehman 98 Ano Bru baker 94 Mary Porter 93 Jane Bear 93 and John Shertzer 92 as the town's aging residents.
At a St Stephen Reformed Church borough congregation meeting last Saturday afternoon officers for the ensuing term were elected. Elders named Elias Groff Edwin Mentzer dethons J Weaver M Stents J Before ext on Weidler.
The New Holland Eadies Auxiliary to Lancaster General Hospital will meet at the home of Mrs. E. P. De Haven next Thursday evening April 10. The Woman's Christian Temperance Union meets Tuesday evening at the home of HB Bowera Alfare. Cordially invited to attend.
