The March meeting of the Lancaster County Firemen's Association at New Holland High School reported 28 fires with 18 from overheated stoves and chimneys. Thirty seven companies with 387 men responded for 40 hours and traveled 233 miles. $86 000 of property was saved from $150 000 endangered. Several members were named to positions and 300 men attended the roll call.
