Death of Arthur S Keller York supervisor for factory inspectors
Arthur S Keller of York, supervising inspector for a district of thirteen counties, died at his York home after two weeks of illness. Appointed June 1, 1919 by Governor Sproul, Keller headed the Lancaster to Fulton counties bureau with Woolworth Building headquarters in Lancaster. Frank Diehm of Manheim led the district temporarily.

Four Children Struck by Trolley on Bridge Near Elizabethtown
Four children fishing in Conewago creek were swept from a high trestle by an Elizabethtown trolley. Clarence D. Cover died from injuries after the 25 foot fall. Harry suffered a fractured leg. Dorothy was badly bruised. Charles Reeder escaped with minor harm. The two surviving children were reported in good condition at Lancaster General Hospital.

Despondent Lancaster man commits suicide in kitchen
David Mellinger age 49 of 420 North Queen street Lancaster killed himself with a .22 rifle in his kitchen Tuesday morning after his wife left for a neighbor’s. He had suffered neuritis since last August and died in the afternoon at General Hospital. He left a 25 year old son and was a member of St John’s Lutheran church and several railroad and fraternal groups.

Four county bridges were awarded to two firms, Swangler Fadler Company of Lebanon and J. M. Eshleman of Landisville. Quarryville Department House Fire Damages Apartment
A fire caused by a defective flue at Harry Young’s Quarryville apartment did about 1000 dollars in damage. Firemen confined the blaze largely to the walls and saved the house after Mr. Young discovered the flames around 4 PM. The borough’s new engine performed well in the first test despite some control issues with the drier and chemical apparatus.
