Barn Fire Destroys Hoffman Farm Near Ephrata
A nearly new frame barn on Henry Hoffman’s farm about one mile south of Ephrata burned Wednesday night with contents but no livestock. Tenant William Messner raised the alarm around midnight. neighbors helped save a horse and two cows. Loss about $2,000, partially insured. Origin undetermined.

A stable at Mrs. Mollie Howe's Red Well property burned down Tuesday night causing several hundred dollars in loss, partially insured. Origin unknown but suspected incendiary. On March 5 a house on the same property was likewise destroyed in the same manner, with no suspect identified.

Traction Company Announces Wage Increase May First
