Posey Co Agricultural Society Fair closes after five days
The 27th annual Posey County Agricultural Society fair ended last Saturday after a five day run. Stock shows and the floral hall drew large crowds though Thursday and Friday were especially busy. Police kept disorders rare with one accidental shooting noted. Premium checks are at Thrall and Mumford. unpaid prizes revert to the society after thirty days. Notable items include Dr C H Sanders locating in New Harmony and Rev Lemeen Porter primed for Indiana senate. The New Harmony band received praise. Gen Grant engraving offers and marble art display by John W Miller drew attention. Abs GoTwalp and two children plan to join at St Paul Minn.
