Monstrous pup reported in Delaware county exhibit planned

Mundy, Inc., Oct. 11 report a farmer T. J. Blackburn has a dog producing a pup with a human like head and boa constrictor body. The creature snarls like a dog and screams like an eagle. Blackburn contemplates showcasing it at the world’s fair.

Indiana Patents and a Giant Harrison County Pumpkin

Indiana patents granted this past week include Vandegrift Welling Phillips Russell Mercer Beam and others with inventions from hammock supports to steam pump valves and bicycle gear. In Corydon Harrison County a 1388 pound pumpkin set a county record while a 120 pound winner previously led at the fair. In Nosie Esvinez Lnp residents report cherry trees blooming twice this year and a possible second crop if mild weather continues.

Granary Collapse Causes Wheat Loss Near City

Mr. Vernon, Inc. reports a granary on the Godfrey Weisinger farm, about 13 miles north, collapsed two days ago scattering nearly 1,000 bushels of wheat. Most wheat was recovered. Weisinger faces a loss estimated between 400 and 800 dollars.
