Inpranapolis Oct 4 The supreme court appears reluctant to intervene against state legislators as demanded by the Republican State committee. The court refused the Republican appeal to rush the case and Attorney-General Smith is cited to appeal for the people. A hearing is set next week and Democratic senators may defend. The move signals a setback for Republican conspirators.
Mr. Vernon reports an outlook of a Democratic victory in every township of the county on the coming election day. In this city and township the majority may reach 50 to 100, potentially matching 1800 levels or better, with Point at 20 and Robinson at about 40. Marrs appears good for 70, totaling around 200 below Big Creek. Upper townships show over 525, implying a countywide majority over 700 for the state and national tickets.
