Republicans suffer major losses in 1930s election
The Democratic gains include two Republicans elected to Congress in the 10th district, a net Democratic gain of one in that district, and Democrats controlling about 2100 of 2800 state election boards for 1892. The result would tie the Senate if Montana stays Democratic, with the House Democratic by 114. Conservatives blame tariff and bayonet-election conspirators for this crushing Republican defeat.
