The township convention drew large crowds and delegates to the county convention today should focus on candidate qualifications for public office. An active harvest labor demand exists as farmers work fields with crops including wheat and barley reported as heavy and high quality across the county.
The township convention on Saturday selected good men for township officers. Ever S. Turan was nominated by acclamation for Township Trustee, a strong career compliment, and Wa. Li. Jonson, for Assessor, is a well qualified young candidate likely to win by a handsome majority. The Democratic County Convention predicts a largely attended meeting and a ticket likely to gain about a thousand votes in October.
