In Evansville Indiana on June 6 1892 reports show Posey Vanderburg Democrats plan to nominate a prosecuting attorney at Evanville after the congressional convention. Delegates are apportioned by vote totals and estimates place Parrett Kramer and Taylor as leading contenders with Losey likely to cast the deciding vote.
Special to the New Tirmony Register dated June 6, 1892 reports Bara Stephens, the surveyor candidate elected at the late primary, declining to continue. Walter Sarkis is named in his stead by township committeemen. Stephens did not desire the office and only consented to run conditionally, intending to resign once a successor was found.
