Mrs K Haverfield and Miss Bettie Ligier climbed the city scaffold around the soldiers monument to 240 feet after being allowed to ascend the lower ladders. They reached the summit with apparent fearlessness, surveyed the town for about a half hour, and descended elated.

Enatisu Inc reports James Byrd, a young fisherman, shot a giant mam moth pike in the Little Blue River on Friday after the fish refused to bite. The yellowish creature measured 44 feet long and required a rifle to secure the prize.
