A flood has wrecked fencing and damaged fields while farm life reports quail nests and lost livestock. The Mt. Vernon road bridge suffered storm damage and a ferry owner won a prize. Local auctions, notary services, and a district Republican convention are noted along with a public sales ad and a medical remedy advertisement.
The April township election opens the yearly political program with E. V. Johnson likely renominated for trustee. Republicans eye a late challenger, Democrats prepare for May town elections, and marshal race chatter rises. County and state races loom, with Highman poised for renomination and George S. Green eyed for state auditor.

The Alba Heywood Concert Company, which performed here on the 16th, pleased a crowded audience. The troupe’s active members include Alba Heywood, Miss Anna Miller, Miss Alice Cheatham, Dewey Aleywood, Clint Heywood, Miss Henrietta Zimmermann, and others. The group plans future appearances along this aerial route, to a warm local welcome.
