Fire devastates Lawrence livery stable in Mt Vernon
At about 11 p.m. last Thursday a blaze swept the Lawrence livery stable destroying the entire block in Mt Vernon causing an estimated loss of 380000. The fire, aided by high winds, burned horses hay and corn, with rockets or snap crackers blamed for spreading the flames.
