New Harmony Hosts Posey County Teachers Institute
The second Posey county teachers annual association met at New Harmony High School on November 30 1888 with Prof C L Hooper presiding Supt O L Sewell named president and a program including instrumental duets choruses solos and papers on reading circles Debts of the Teacher and Uniformity of Text Books were discussed A committee on resolutions praised hospitality and urged attendance at future meetings The next association set for Poseyville in 1889 with John S Williams as secretary Adjourned enrollment 52.
