A blaze at the Posey County fair ground last Saturday leveled about 110 stalls and killed one horse with others severely burned. The Bucket Brigade aided by townsfolk saved 24 old stalls and all new ones except three as crews battled hot flames driven by a northeast wind. Remaining stalls were saved, losses pegged at 800 dollars for the agricultural society with 300 dollars insured. Rebuilding work is underway and expected by mid month.
