On Saturday September 12 1885 Posey Countys Auditor announces advertised bids for repairing the Black River Bridge Bethel Township with a contract sum of 5090 dollars to secure the county against loss for damage or destruction during repair and for faithful performance. Waterspout over Wabash at Vincennes Amazes Town
Local drift reports a gigantic waterspout rising from the Wabash River near the O M railroad bridge in Vincennes.
