Work crews at Kiel French Piano factory start wiring the line system along the New Castle cross ties to improve telegraph, police, and fire protection. The entire installation is planned to take about six months, with day or night work to complete the project for better town services.
New Castle prepares for a promising season with scientific play and early practices on Kish Street. The home team, outfitted in padded suits, has scheduled several games after a pre-season loss to Oakville, hoping for strong showing and fast, skilled athletes this fall.
J o A Anderson of the American District Telegraph arrives to install waterman's boxes and stations in city factories. Boxes connect to central alice with watchmen patrolling nights and recording box numbers and times. An all night telegraph service is established alongside nissen- service.

Chairman D. W. Kinsey reports at the publicity committee meeting that newspapers across the state are showing strong interest in building the Louisiana Purchase Exposition exhibit in St. Louis. They are dedicating substantial space to promote the enterprise and its upcoming display.
Ed Phillips son of Mrs Stuart Mitterspaugh works at Muncie was driving Saturday when his horse became frightened and ran away injuring him. Latest reports say he is improving nicely.
A committee was appointed including Tai Miart ship, K. KK. Birk, Weary township, Charles 8S. Ternty, Albert W. Powel, Frank Medlin, Emory Jackson, Marshal Rhodes and J. O. Mendenhall to oversee incorporation of the company or proceed to organize it if not yet legally formed. An amendment proposed directors be chosen by each township’s stockholders. The board will convene at the Lundy house on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Judge Clay Cunt presided in a bankruptcy case with petitioner Mr. McFarlan. Creditors were represented by Barnard Jeffrey and Bainberger Feibleman of Indianapolis. Georgie M. Barnard was named trustee. Will Goodwin, Lee Phelps as appraisers. Frank Nixon as clerk. Assets include clothing stock valued near $2000 and total assets around $5000 amid near 1000 in liabilities. A dividend of 48.6 percent was declared for Mary Be Young, with Thomas L. Ryan serving as trustee and praised for handling.
The Yearly Meeting of Friends began in Marion on September 24 with preparations underway for a larger gathering than any before. The full society will reconvene midweek and activities are being organized on an unprecedented scale including a tent installation.

The rural route inspector W T McConnell will conduct full business from the Mitchell Building, fourth floor, in the law office of 4 HT, Dones. He arrived in Cincinnati Saturday and will be here for business Tuesday.

Lennard Estabrook sues Springport and Mt Summit Gas Co for 2333.14 for labor, money loaned and merchandise sold with nonpayment alleged. Cyrus Van Matre BE H Peed and John W Patterson named appraisers to value G Sharkey Farm crossed by Union Traction.
L C Miller placed an order with Indiana Brick Co of Anderson for Gonbrick to be delivered immediately. He holds the contract for building Union Traction Co substations at Kokomo Logansport Peru and Sulphur Springs. Union Traction has used 3,000,000 brick in Madison county this year not counting the Anderson shops order.
Mrs Heney 1 Heruls sells Winnis farm comprising 20 acres at 8100 per acre in spot cash. Sle reserves all growing crops and takes possession March 1.
