Sunday service at the Methodist church featured unusually attractive decorations of flags and palms arranged decorously. A committee was praised for its well executed display and the congregation appreciated the presentation from pulpit to pew. The pastor spoke on The Signs of the Times during the service.
Two New Oastis residents, Mrs. Charles Bundy and Mrs. Belle Springer, belong to the National Association of the Daughters of the American Revolution and are eligible for the Daughters of 1812.
