Harbor Bridge Contract Awarded for Shenango River Span
The Broadhead Construction Co. of Aliquippa won a $319 145 state contract to replace the Harbor Bridge over the Shenango River with a prestressed concrete structure and build two approaches totaling over a half mile. A separate $135 000 pact was awarded to Penn-Ohio Road Materials of Edinburg to reconstructure a two mile Har bor Rd segment between U S 422 and U S 224. A Penn Ohio bid of 36 137 to replace a Pa 278 bridge between Pulaski and New Bedford was rejected. Work on the projects is set to begin in late October and next week respectively.
