City woman wounded as brother-in-law jailed for assault
Leona Harrison, 34, of 379 Halco Dr, is in fair condition at St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Huston Harrison, 49, of 526 W North St, her brother-in-law, is jailed on $5,000 bond after pleading guilty to assault with intent to maim. He was arrested after police say he fired five shots at the 526 address and fled with the weapon, which they believe he disposed of in the Shenango River.

Gorichsky Killed in Mid-Atlantic Championship Crash
Stock car racer Frank Gorichsky 32 of West Middlesex Pennsylvania died from head injuries after his car lost control in the second segment of the Mid-Atlantic Championships at Hagerstown Raceway. Gina Lynn Paxton Mechanicsburg Elmer Ruby Artemas and Buddy Armel Winchester were injured but not seriously. It was the track's first fatality since 1962.

Four Campbell youths fall from 100-foot cliff on Pa. 18
Four Campbell residents were injured when their car plunged 100 feet from Pa. 18 early yesterday. Michael Vodhanel 17 and Albert Martinko 20 were treated at Jameson Memorial Hospital in Campbell for injuries. The driver fell asleep at about 55 mph as the car smashed through a guard rail and plunged over the cliff. Nine others were injured in weekend accidents.
