George Thomas, aged 12, was seriously injured when a cement mixer owned by Smith & Bauman Contracting ran over his right leg after he fell from a wagon on Maryland Avenue near the cement works. Kentucky county wet/dry vote narrows to 14 counties
Louisville report notes that after Monday local option elections only fourteen of Kentucky’s 120 counties remain wet. Nine counties became dry and the counties abolishing saloons include Carroll, Montgomery, Mason, Bell, Boone, Clarke, Meneby, Bourbon and Scott.
