Donated pool grants Wampum boy's wish
Andrew Swagger, an 11 year old from Wampum, had a swimming pool donated and installed by Make-A-Wish volunteers Francie DelRosso and Beverly Zanotti after his letter request to the Pittsburgh foundation. Cheswick Pool Co. supplied the pool and New Beaver Fire Department filled it. a weekend party celebrated the reveal.

Record snow expectations rise for western Pennsylvania

White-collar crime rise shown by Justice Department
The first federal study on white-collar crime reports an 18 percent rise in convictions from 1980 to 1985, far below the 43 percent increase for other offenses. In 1985, 10,733 white-collar convictions occurred, with fraud the leading category at 55 percent.
