Car Plunges Over Moravia Street Hill Casualties Reported
Five occupants injured when steering failed on Moravia street hill opposite Miller avenue caused the automobile to roll backward over a steep embankment near the B R and P trestle. Josephine George sustained two broken ribs and possible internal injuries. Sam Coroll of Ellwood City suffered serious body and leg bruises. An unknown Ellwood City passenger had a badly injured head and arm and a broken hand. Three men and two women escaped death by leaping from the car during the 100 foot fall. Names were temporarily withheld as victims were moved home rather than to hospitals.

Remains found along the Pennsylvania tracks near Leesburg have been identified as Joseph F. Spence of Oil City. He was 21, last worked as a wagon express driver, and was seen walking the tracks Monday night after leaving a train in Leesburg.

Richard Clark aged 2 of 416 West Parkway was badly hurt when a huckster wagon rolled down a grade on West Washington street and ran over him. The wagon struck a horse causing a surge. the lad escaped the hoofs as the horses bolted. Police Sgt Tyrrell carried him to a nearby home. he is expected to recover. The wagon belonged to Elias Shaner near Volant. a driver was aboard but could not stop the team immediately.
