Pepsi Wins State System Deal to Loot Coke on Campuses

The State System of Higher Education approved a $23 million, 10 year exclusive beverage contract with Pepsi for all 14 universities including Slippery Rock. Pepsi will supply fountain and vending drinks and fund scholarships while Coke loses exclusive rights in the system. SRU expects about $551,865 windfall. funds may improve deferred maintenance and academics as Coke is phased out over two years remaining on SRU’s current contract.
