Youth Dies In Hayloft Fall In Mahoning Township
Walter Bryer aged 17 of Rural Free Delivery No 2 Lowellyilles died from a fall in a barn hayloft on Sunday morning. Found about 2:30 pm, he had been dead for hours from a fractured skull after slipping while searching for hens nests. Coroner Potter ruled the death accidental. He is survived by ten brothers and sisters.

Farmers Pool 25 Tons Of Wool
Work of gathering grading and weighing the wool raised by members of the Lawrence County Wool Growers association was completed at the Moravia street warehouse Saturday. The 51,000 pounds pooled by the growers is en route to purchasers Horkheimer Brothers of Wheeling West Virginia. The amount fell slightly short of last year when 62,000 pounds were sold. Friday was the biggest day in association history with 31,000 pounds brought in and graded by W B Connell state college expert assisted by H R McCulloch county farm agent. McCulloch says it was the largest pooling by any state wool growers association in a single day. The wool is of high quality and priced slightly higher than some neighboring counties. Some extra fine specimens will be exhibited at the wool show during the state farm products show in Harrisburg in January.
