Birthday Honoring Mary Brown in Church Training Class

The First Baptist church teachers training class honored Mary Brown of Meyer Avenue on Monday evening at teacher Mrs. James Callahan’s Moody Avenue home. Social games and music followed a luncheon at a dining room with yellow brown flowers and a large birthday cake. Officers elected included Edith Cleaveland president Virginia Callahan vice president Mary Rankin secretary and Laura Cayen treasurer Leona Dorten and Charlotte Barbour to social committee. Members present were Mary Brown Laura Cayen Edith Cleaveland Mary Rankin Virginia Callahan Charlotte Barbour Sara Dandy Margaret McCormick Mrs Callahan and special guests Mr Callahan and son James.

Dodds-Price rehearsal tonight for Wednesday wedding

Rehearsal at Second United Presbyterian Church precedes Dodds and Price nuptials on Wednesday at 1 30. Wedding party will dine at a Youngstown road lodge with music and dancing after rehearsal. Bridesmaids Mary Alford and Jean Parker, organist Ethel Dennis ton, soloist Bertha Taylor, best man Charles McMillen, ushers Leroy Kessner and Paul Alford. The date also marks the bride's mother's birth date. Tigers Auxiliary hosts clubroom meeting and plans a ham burger fund event for Thursday night. Daughter of Former Local Girl Married in Avalon

Margaret V. Crouch, daughter of Mrs. Clarence Crouch, wed W. Carothers Irvin I at Avalon Presbyterian Church with Rev. J. Norman Hunter officiating. She will reside at 523 River Road, Avalon, after a wedding trip, and is a niece of Mrs. Howard M. Sankey of Alliance. Wiener Roast Delights Girl Scouts At Highland Heights

A troop of Girl Scouts from Troop No II enjoyed a Monday wiener roast at the home of Lawson Downes in Highland Heights. The event featured a large bonfire, roasted wieners and toasted marshmallows, and Scout songs around the campfire.
