The Pennsylvania State Sabbath School Association voted at the First Presbyterian Church to oppose House Bill 1136 which would fund non public schools with tax money. President G. Four Youths Injured In Summer Street Collision
Four city boys on their way to New Castle High School were injured when their car struck a pole in front of 206 E Winter Ave at 8 a.m. John Magee 16 suffered a facial fracture and brow cuts and was moved to Mercy Hospital in Mercer in satisfactory condition. John Nielson 17 had severe face cuts and was admitted to Jameson. Joseph Friedheim 16 sustained skull and jaw bruises and was released. Perry Andrews 16 received chest and facial bruises and mouth cuts and was released. Police urged reckless driving charges against Andrews.
