State highway survey eyes Meadville Mercer road
A party of state highway surveyors arrived in Meadville to map a Mercer to Meadville brick pavement route under the Sproul act. Supervised by A J Fashan reyel of Franklin, the 40 mile survey runs from the Crawford county courthouse down Chestnut to Water, Mercer, and the French Creek bridge toward Mercer, planning a paved network for statewide highways.

Slippery Rock Man Struck by Neighbor in Livery Barn Incident
Jonny Cooper of Slippery Rock is in serious condition after an argument at the Welsh livery barn. L. L. Wilson, a longtime Rogery Rock resident, allegedly attacked Cooper with heavy roofing shears, leaving him unconscious. Wilson fled to Pittsburgh and has not been seen in Rogery Rock since. Both men are over fifty and well known in the town.
