Colaluca a retired moulder from Youngstown Foundry and Machine Co. never married.
Karl Wallenda 67 of the Wallendas fell 20 feet to the arena floor at Olympia Stadium Detroit after a hand over hand descent from a 40 foot wire. He was examined, found to have a heel fracture but insisted on returning to reassure the crowd. The incident follows a history of tragedies in the family's circus acts.
Warrants issued for four Weirton residents including three brothers on charges they planted a time bomb at Beaver County Courthouse causing about 500000 dollars in damage. Dan Paul Gonzales, 20, remained in Hancock County Jail in New Cumberland on 15000 dollar bond. The suspects at large are Robert Ball 26 and his twin brothers Thomas and Ronald 24 and David Link 20.
The Mental Health Mental Retardation advisory board announced preschool classes for retarded children named Little Bird will start in New Castle at St Marys Grade School and Ellwood City at North Side School with potential full time funding for one month. County Commissioner Thomas A Shumaker indicated County funds may cover Ellwood City for one month while PARC director Col John Gallagher seeks additional funds through November 1 to keep classes running. The state funding level remains under review with a tentative approval conditional on adequate funds and agreements between PARC and MHMR.
The Pennsylvania House resisted Gov. Shapp's pressure by defeating a no fault insurance move and a milk price control reform. The 143-43 override of a veto on restricting an agricultural research fund sparked anger among rural lawmakers. The lobbying reform bill stalled as lawmakers used procedural tactics. The session adjourned with plans to return after the election.
