Two Italian Boys Near Death From Bomb Explosion
Two Italian boys aged six and seven were badly wounded by a dynamite bomb explosion on the Phillips property in the Fifth ward Friday evening. John Mareino and Frank Macco were playing near the hillside when they found and lit an unexploded bomb. The blast hurled them feet away. Mareino suffered severe leg injuries and burns, while Macco suffered facial burns and fractures. Both remain in serious condition. Mareino to be moved to a hospital for treatment.

Cutrone Found Guilty by Jury in Robbery Case

Tribute to the memory of Frank Tidball
At the Lawrence County W C T U convention in Park Christian church a tribute honored Frank Tidball who died recently. Mrs J A McBride recalled his deep interest in temperance work and noted he was the first president of the Band of Hope and a pioneer male temperance leader in the region. Thieves Ransack Halboth House In Absence
Robbers entered the Halboth residence at 381 West Washington while Mr and Mrs Halboth were visiting relatives in Ohio. About 200 dollars in goods including silverware a watch revolver and other valuables were taken. Floyd Kay was jailed in Youngstown and later recaptured after trying to dispose of silverware. Police sought to identify stolen items. Another ransacking occurred at Thomas Bevan's Park Avenue home during a Niagara Falls trip.

Tragedy of Mrs. L. E. McFarland in Moment of Insanity
