Officer wounded as man killed in Mahoning stabbing incident
State police say a 34 year old New Castle man was killed after stabbing four others and injuring an officer during a Saturday night assault at the Mahoning Sportsmans Association. An arriving officer fired, killing Christopher Rush who carried a cutting instrument. Wardens and boards responded, with field day activities slated earlier in the day.

Crowds Celebrate Water Fire Sharon Returns
Crowds thronged downtown streets on Saturday for Water Fire Sharon as East State Street closed from Main to Dock.
