It shattered Ward's blackmail claim with evidence a Paris Island S C ticket was bought May 14 and Peters surrendered it in West Philadelphia. The defense pressed to impeach two witnesses but Ward and his wife showed calm in court. Deputy Hill identified Peters fingerprints and noted a Boston theft record.
