East Street Hill Cause Car Wreck on Rainy Morning

Three Hundred Passengers Aboard Rudderless Ship

The steamer Calvin Austin traveling from New York to Boston lost its rudder early this day in the Cane God canal. Tugs rushed to assist as about 300 passengers remained aboard. The ship is not believed to be in danger.
