President Harding will send the German peace treaty to the senate tomorrow without an accompanying message. The senate foreign relations committee is expected to take up ratification at once, and if needed the president may send a further message later.
A 15 year old Chinese boy Yat Dan Lee has joined Lincoln and Garfield school as a first grader. He cannot speak English yet writes his name in English with fine penmanship after only two hours in class. In American clothes, he appears fully Americanized and shows promise of rapid language acquisition under Miss May Blackwood.
Clement Alansky a Vilna immigrant, after eight years of worry about his wife and seven children, finally reunited with them at Ellis Island. He had long sought to bring them to the United States, traversing wars and political turmoil in Russia and Poland. The family arrived at No. 7 East Reynolds Street to share their harrowing voyage and hopeful reunion.
