Fifth Air Force Backs Ground Troops With 595 Plus Sorties
In Korea the U S Fifth Air Force logged over 595 sorties yesterday with more than half in close support of advancing allied troops. Brakeman Killed On P and L E Train Near Youngstown
Edward R. Evans of Newell Pennsylvania, age 22, brakeman on a P and L E work train out of Youngstown Ohio, was fatally struck by a westbound freight one mile west of the P and L E station. Reds Capture Outpost Dongkhe in Indochina Fight

Big U S planes landed at Kimpo airfield in mid afternoon as American forces rush to build up strength in Korea.
