Fifth Ward Fire Horses In Spill
While en route to a blaze on Long Avenue a Fifth Ward hose team horse slipped and fell delaying the alarm. A second call brought additional units from the Central department. Penitentiary Sentence For Mike Julian
Mike Julian charged with felonious assault and battery was found guilty and sentenced to prison in the Western penitentiary for three to ten years and a fine of five dollars plus costs. The shooting occurred in Shenango township on December fifteenth injuring Joe Boreo in the hip. District Attorney Riley prosecuted the case with defense by T W Dickey.
