Boys Fair Camp Opens During New Castle Fair
Farm Agent H K McCulloch has arranged a mixed instruction and recreation program for the Boys Camp at the New Castle fair. Eligible boys ages up to 21 may attend September 27 to October 1, with about 25 participants in the loft of the horse barn. Penn State experts will lecture, and a livestock judging contest is set for Tuesday afternoon. The New Castle Chamber of Commerce funds an exhibit of boys agricultural work at the camp, and reservations are via the Farm Bureau on Croton Avenue.

Johnson Bronze Company Plans Large Building Extension
The Johnson Bronze Company begins a 150 by 565 foot steel annex on South Mill Street to expand production of bronze bearing assemblies for motors and other machinery. President P. J. Finherty says the new building will house a growing, specialized operation, enabling greater output with no guaranteed rise in employment. Construction by Truscon Steel is underway north of the main plant with steel girders in place and roofed, but occupancy date is not yet set.
