Rev E A Crooks of 605 Oak street pursued a burglar who entered his home around 3 30 this morning and lost him in the dark. A gold watch given to the pastor by his parents 29 years ago was missing along with a string of Syrian pearls a pin and a pocketbook with $15.
A marauder entered the Crooks residence via a raised living room window and exited through the back door, after which a flashlight was seen in a room. Mrs. Crooks awoke to a light reflection, and the thief fled outdoors. No description or clues were obtained.
