GM pickups blamed for fatal side crash fuel tank defect

Court holds Medusa taxes pending district decision
The Lawrence County Court of Common Pleas will hold Medusa Cement Corporation’s school taxes until the state determines which district should receive them. The Pennsylvania Secretary of Education will decide whether Mohawk Area or Ellwood City Area School District gets the funds by locating Medusa’s district. Funds are in a special account earning interest, with any refunds also accruing interest. Mohawk has long received Medusa revenue since a 1959 consolidation that included New Beaver Borough.
