Two young bandits robbed the First National bank at Volant around 10 15 a m taking about 5000 in currency and silver. Cashier M Cox and four staff were held at pistol point while one robber breached the cage and another guarded the lobby. The pair, calm and methodical, loaded money and bags before fleeing in a getaway car toward New Wilmington.
