Auto Race Driver Ts Fatally Injured In Saturday Crash
Walter Fleming aged 32 of Oil City Pa was killed in a 100 mile auto race at the New Castle Fat Ground track when his Willy Knight crashed through the fence. He died 20 minutes after arrival at hospital from chest injuries and internal hemorrhage. Fleming started 13th, drove for Louis Perry then for S Wilson after Perry’s car failed to qualify.

Man Hurt After Auto Crash On Mahoning Avenue
George Joseph, 45, of 6 Walter Street, is listed in very critical condition at New Castle hospital after being struck Sunday evening on Mahoning Avenue near McKinley Street by a car driven by Staney Mrozek of 6 Walter Street. He suffers a fractured pelvis, a badly fractured left shoulder, arm injuries at the elbow, and possible internal injuries.
