Trial before Judge Porter began with jury voir dire and prosecution by J W Rhodes asserting May Stevenson was struck near Wabash avenue as she and her mother attempted to board a crowded street car at about 8 15 p m on June 29. The automobile lacked headlights and drove 15 to 20 mph. George B Zahnizer civil engineer testified. The proceedings continued.

Alfred Harvey alias John George Grant alias Tom W Harris alias Wayne Miller is jailed in Lawrence County awaiting transfer from Houtzdale Pa. He was captured yesterday in Youngstown after a joint effort by Chief Mitchell of New Castle and Chief McDowell of Youngstown. Harvey has a criminal record in several cities including Kansas City Oklahoma City Fort Worth Dallas Houtzdale New Castle and Youngstown Bertillon measurements were taken prior to arrest.

Two Killed and Six Injured In Pennsylvania Train Collision
In Latrobe Pennsylvania today two men died and six were hurt when a New York to Chicago passenger train on the Pennsylvania railroad collided with a freight engine near Latrobe. Dead are James Quick of Altoona and J E Seaird of Whipkey. Several passengers and crew members from Cincinnati Lowell Johnstown Homewood Greensburg suffered injuries as the passenger train, drawn by two engines, did not derail and continued after the crash.
