Constable Parker placed him in county jail. sheriff Whaley offers Shenango river water as a nerve tonic. Heitman had earned two days wages, spent them on liquor, and broke a store window to obtain more. He was committed by Squire Turner.
The Metropolitan Psychical Society in New York plans a sealed letter test to determine if Professor William James of Harvard has communicated from beyond the grave. W. S. Davis, society secretary, offers $100 to any medium who can learn the contents of James’s letter and relay them to the society, arguing past communications have been vague.
A Friday fire committee meeting proposed inviting all auto fire companies to display their machines within two months. The chief of the fire department would prepare the demonstration specifications. This differs from the vetoed resolution by Mayor Lusk, as no purchase contract is required with the demonstration.

Workmen on the Billy Sunday tabernacle project are expected to finish by Monday night. Noon serving of dinner was provided for the workers at the Y. M. C. A. as churches did not arrange meals. James H. Anderson led the dinner efforts as a volunteer.
