HUD signals limited funds for Local multi unit housing plan
In a Long-Hamilton area meeting HUD official James Getsy told about 200 residents that funding for a three story fifty unit elderly apartment and ten single family homes is unlikely, but that HUD may approve if plans meet regulations and hearings occur. He noted Section 235 housing is revived and rents would cap at 295 to 335 dollars with tenants paying up to 25 percent of gross income. Residents pressed HUD on authority and schedules while questioning the city redevelopment authority and proposed rents.
