Treasurer Marie C Halon reports city tax payments due on the duplicate totaling 1 125 8665 87 206 of 7 7 per cent. Delinquent at the same time last year were 68 621 on a 981 1 school tax duplicate. Sept 1 school tax collections reached 1 686 331 representing 81 2 of taxes charged. unpaid stand at 364 per cent or 1 621 034. 255 316 outstanding. The 3951 duplicate of 1 876 350 was lower this year due to a reduced rate. Meanwhile amusement rides at Cascade Park will operate Sundays this month per Parks Director Richard H Biddle. the pool is being drained and winterized with antifreeze. Mayor Steinbrink receives a new plaque as Sportsman of the Year from the Lawrence County Council of Sportsmen. The mayor plans a deer and antelope expedition to Casper, Wyoming, by bus this year.
