Veterans of 332nd pick New Castle for 1928 reunion

The 332nd Regiment reunion committee from New Castle won the bid to host the tenth anniversary postwar gathering. Chairman William Fleming, Vice chairman Edward Pritchard, and Secretary-Treasurer Roy Preston will lead. Brewdenville, Cincinnati, and Toledo were contenders. Nation Mourns Wheeler's Death

Westminster College Sees Near Hundred New Castle Enrollees

Hill Will Return To Face Accusers

Washington governor expected to sign extradition papers today as Harry T. Hill, 22, faces murder charges in Streator Illinois. Hill fled across the continent after being arrested in Seattle and has denied guilt, saying he was in trouble over bad checks. His father Dr H O Hill urged him to surrender to clear his name and pledged aid. Extradition papers were dispatched from Timola by air mail. if approved, Hill should be back in Streator by week’s end.

McGill School Addition To Be Used In New Term

With New Castle schools resuming on Wednesday the Arthur McGill addition on Albert street will be put into use. Six extra rooms plus other spaces expand capacity and some Highland pupils will move to McGill. Arthur McGill will open Kindergarten through grade six with afternoon kindergarten. Holiday Roadway Toll Records Fatal, Injuries Across District

A Labor Day period crash toll includes two dead and 11 injured hospitalized in New Castle area. Victims span Pittsburgh and Cleveland with names such as J Foster McCune and Dorothy Reese among the dead and multiple residents from Eva Galilee, Shenango Valley, and McDonald treated for lacerations, fractures, and chest injuries.
