Local poultry club members convened in Ellwood City to elect officers and plan a poultry show this winter. Meetings will be held Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in city hall to finalize plans and recruit members.

The blast was meant to derail a northbound train. warning signals stopped the car within feet of the device. Some officials claim the dynamite lay between tracks, others say track walkers found it. A second torpedo was placed near Edenan Wednesday night but caused no damage. The incident stirred officials and passengers as trains ran double headers toward Harmony.
