Driver Identified in Scott Township Crash
State police identified Leah Piccione, 27, of New Castle as the driver in a head on collision Friday night on Harlansburg Road near Memory Lane in Scott Township. Piccione is hospitalized with serious injuries while sisters Isis and Irie Whisel, Laurel High School students, are in ICU at UPMC Presbyterian after being flown from the scene. The road was closed about two hours as Scott and Hickory townships, Slippery Rock departments and EMS assisted. Piccione faces a citation as investigation continues. Fundraisers are forming district wide to aid the Whisel family.
